Description
This is a 10" acetate of 3 songs from Chicago artists- "That's When I Woke Up" by Ernie King and "Down, Down, Down" and "Good Feeling" from Bettye Scott and the Del-Vetts. The acetate is in very good + condition- plays through with no problems but you might hear a few light clicks along the way.
A few things you should know about the acetate- 1) it does not play through. After the Ernie King song, you have to lift the needle to hear "Down, Down, Down" and you'll have to lift it again to hear "Good Feeling". "That's When I Woke Up" is credited to Ernie King but Ernie King recorded as Ernest Baker, King Earnest and King Ernest. I think this is the version that came out as King Earnest Baker on Sonic. I'll add an mp3 later so you can hear it. When I fiirst heard "Down, Down, Down" I thought it was a faster alternate version. The more I listen to it, I think the tape was rolling at the wrong speed when the acetate was cut- it sounds like the Teako release but sped up. Finally, the "Good Feeling" is the same version that Bettye Scott released on Teako. There is some writing on one side of the sleeve.
I'll add an mp3 of "That's When I Woke Up" later- please wait until it posted before you bid.
