Description

At the dawn of the Vinyl LP, manufacturers, looking for ways to market this new product, hit on the idea of the 10-inch LP to accompany the more familiar 12-inch format. The thinking was that folks with cabinet shelves configured for the then-current 10-inch 78s would be more likely to buy and become familiar with the new product. After years of so-so sales, the 10-inchers were basically gone from the marketplace by 1953. As a result, many are quite scarce, and it is my pleasure to offer a small group in a number of different genres.
This 1951 LP is in VG condition, there is a bit of writing on one side in the form of a dedication from "Hank Williams." (Not a genuine autograph). The vinyl is otherwise clean and plays well, original MGM E107, songs are I Saw the Light, Mansion on the Hill, Six More Miles, Wedding Bells, Lost Highway, I've Just Told Mama Goodbye, Wealth Won't Save Your Soul and A House Without Love. Cover is clean, but has a 1" split center bottom and a 1/4" inch split at bottom right, as you look at the front of the cover.
