Description
Guitarist, vocalist, composer and artist, Svein Finjarn can safely be called a legend in both Norwegian and American rock. Known for being the first Norwegian who played in rock band with a fender Stratocaster in the very early sixties.
This is a TOP COPY of this rare vinyl prog psych album from Norway. A VERY a cool west-coast psych guitar sound ("Special thanks to Freddy Lindquist") on some tracks and a very Beatle-like vibe on others, all with consistently druggy vocals. There's a weird factor to this LP in that they swipe two songs off the Euphoria LP on Capitol as their own! "Lady Bedford" is re-titled "Lady Windsor" on this LP with lots of freaky wah-wah fuzz guitar, and "Did You Get The Letter" is morphed into something they call "Sorry Girl, But Now I Know Things Will Be Much Better When You're Gone", which is a verbatim lyric from the Euphoria song!
Capitol probably lost so much money on the Euphoria LP in the States that they gave these guys the two songs figuring they might be hits in Scandinavia and the Euphoria guys would never find out about it! This is a very cool LP at any rate.
One of the coolest psych albums made in Scandinavia in the early 70s - a real British-sounding heavy Psychedelic masterpiece album made in Norway.
The first edition of this album contained a textured red lyric sheet, of course included here. Pls. also note that this LP should have the special Norwegian cut innersleeve in order to be complete, this one got it!
