Papa Bear’s Medicine Show was a Canadian psychedelic underground-rock band. They were formed in Vancouver, British Columbia and were active from 1966 to 1970. In that time span they obviously supported performances headlined by impressive major artists in the day including Country Joe And The Fish & Peanut Butter Conspiracy in their acid era glories.
The Papa Bears Medicine Show got their name shortly after Papa Bear Craig Wood yelled down to his room-mates "Who's been sleeping in my bed?". This album is a very rare limited numbered edition from the last century with only 450 copies having been pressed from their impossible to find (and $1500+ valued) 1970 demo album which was released on a made up label appropriately titled "One Shot." The tracks were assembled by one Michael Willmore and hand-numbered copies of the album were pressed at Rada Records in Vancouver. 
Papa Bear's have their own distinct sound but would have fit firmly in the San Francisco Sound glorified sixties scene... A lot of their material is in the vein of early Jefferson Airplane with strumming guitars and good vibes feel overlayed at times with overt jazz scale structures. 
Be aware, due to limited scarce availability, this very numbered pressing has sold for upwards of $200 in recent past . Here a MINT top copy with audio quality exactly as the demo.
