Description
Here's a 16 inch transcription disc / record from the 1950s. The title of this record is Let's Go To Town which was a music program produced by NBC and presented by the National Guard. Artists are recorded before a live audience with some patter between songs. Also the artists read recruiting promotions for the military.
This particular record contains programs 217, 218, 219 and 220 and features Band of the Month Billy Maxted and Orchestra and Singer of the Month Jill Corey on both sides.
These records were delivered to, and played on radio stations before the more common use of audio tape and consequently, were probably only played once. Record speed is 33 1/3 rpm.
You will need a record player capable of playing 16 inch records, commonly called "transcription records".
Please note, the photo used in the listing is just a generic photo, so you can see what the record looks like.
