Description
Blues and other phonograph records are sometimes quite worn due to being loved and played often by their owners. I listened to parts of each record on a VV 1-80 and describe as best I can the issues, and how the volume of music compares to background noise. The pics also help discern record quality. I'm no expert though so records are sold as is with no returns. Records will be shipped via Media Mail at buyers expense unless a different option is requested. 4032 Silvertone- Red Onion Jazz Babies- Terrible Blues/Santa Claus Blues- a few lite scratches but sides sound good.8484 Lonnie Johnson- Baby will you please come home/Treat Em Right- nice record w only slight background noise.V-38588 Sammy Hill- Crying for You Blues/Needin' My Woman Blues- has an approx 2" crack. However, the record plays quite well w/o skips or pops.15078 Vocalion- Sonny Clay's Plantation Orch- Jambled Blues (bad groove at start but plays thru and sounds good)/Bogloosa Blues (bad groove about half way thru- skips but otherwise a good side.12631 Paramount Blind Lemon Jefferson- Balky Mule Blues (some background noise but loud and clear)/Mean Jumper Blues (noisy start, improves but still significantly noisy)14018 Columbia Bessie Smith-Moonshine Blues/Boweavil Blues- both sides v. Noisy start- improves but still noisy throughout.2944 Columbia- Marion Harris (comedienne) Homesickness Blues/ St Louis Blues- both sides noisy throughout.45308 OKEH Phil Pavey (Yodler)- Broncho Bustin' Blues/Prairie Blues- noisy start and some noise throughout but music is enjoyable. 41095 OKEH Emmett Miller- St Louis Blues/Anytime- lite scratches but plays well both sides.14380 Columbia- Ethel Waters- Do what You Did Last Night (long lite scratch but plays fine)/Get Up Off Your Knees.45100 Victor Blue Label Nora Haynes (comedienne)- Homesickness Blues/For Dixie and Uncle Sam- good record8526 OKEH Texas Alexander- Range in my Kitchen Blues/ Farm Hand Blues v. Noisy start- improves but still v.
