Description
I will audition each Berliner I sell, and give my observations in each auction. Because of varying, non-standardized manufacturing conditions, the records vary as greatly as snow flakes. I will do my best to write a complete assessment for each. I playback with a 3.0 mil sapphire stylus. Varying the stylus size can yield better playback results.

Record looks better in person than in photo. NICE playing record, plays like a nice V+. Light surface noise. Performance plays back like a V+ with a 3.0 mil stylus, but slightly better with a fine LP stylus (gets deeper into groove). PLEASE INSPECT PHOTO. Few surface marks, nothing out of the ordinary. Plays fabulously! Towards the end of the record, my ear hears pitch changes...maybe the recording lathe was running out of power when this was mastered? (I love stuff like this! Shows the challenges of the technology)

I audition all records COMPLETELY (and several times!) on a modern turntable with a lightweight sapphire stylus. RECORDS WILL BE PACKED PROPERLY WITH NEW PACKING MATERIALS between several sheets of cardboard, surrounded by packing peanuts, in a sturdy box.
