Description

A 7" single sided Gramophone Record manufactured by the Gramophone & Typewriter Ltd. company number 2-2497 issued (so I'm told) 1904. Titled 'She cost me 7/6' ( for the younsters out there thats 37p). Performed by Wilkie Bard (1874-1944) a music hall & stage comic who recorded between 1906 until about 1920, he appeared at Dury Lane in 1921 but best noted for his 'tongue twister' songs ie "She sells seashells on the Sea shore" "Susie sewing shirts for soldiers". etc. The reverse side impressed with  the Recording Angel the trade mark registered by Berliner in 1898 & reproduced in Hanover the factory set up by Berliners brother Joseph also 1898. The record comes with a strong Cover/sleeve many I had made 40 odd years ago. Postage/ packing (in a plywood case) UK only £4.00P. I'm happy to 'ship' abroad at a little additional postage
