Description
Single sided commemorative record celebrating the 25th year reign of Kaiser Wilhelm II of the German Empire, issued in a presentation box in 1913. The box and the rim of the record read: "ZUR ERINNERUNG AN DAS FUNFUNDZWANZIGJAHRIGE REGIERUNGS - JUBILAUM SEINER MAJESTAT DES KAISERS UND KONIGS WILHELM II 1888-1913".
The record has no spindle hole but in its place an embossed portrait of the Kaiser. In the box are also a green ribbon to lift the disc and the original metal tray, enabling the record to be played on a normal grammophone, victrola or even modern turntable.
On the smooth reverse is a paper label indicating that the instrumental March with singing "Heil Kaiser!" is played by the "Grammophon Orchester Berlin". The record is in mint condition, the box in excellent condition.
