Description
I stumbled upon this rarity at the estate sale of a collector of rare Classical recordings. It is a 10" metal Speak-O-Phone record. I believe this dates from the early to mid 1920's.I think it is a private pressing of some sort. The label was loose but states "F Major Sonata for Piano & Violin" by Beethoven played by SASCHA JACOBSEN and HARRY KAUFMANN. The outside of the box says Rachmaninoff Prelude G Minor , Chopin Noturne C Minor.
As I don't have the proper vintage equipment to play this I'm not going to try. I'm offering this "as found"
I hesitate to grade this disc. Visually it is quite good condition some light marks on both sides. Given proper restoration and sound engineering this one of a kind recording should sound most clear.THIS IS QUITE A RARE FIND AND CERTAINLY VERY FEW IF ANY OTHER COPIES OF THIS HAVE SURVIVED TO THIS DAY.
