*** 1925 Chicago Banjo maestro ***
William "Bill" Haid demonstrates the Ludwig Banjo for percussion manufacturer, percussionist, and intrument inventor William F. Ludwig. But it's the flip-side that makes this a Jazz collectable. The Shimmie-Sha-Wabble" and "I'll See You In My Dreams medley is a real Jazz-Banjo tour de force. Recorded at (electrical recording pioneer) Orlando R. Marsh's Chicago Marsh Laboratories studio in 1925. Bill Haid played banjo and guitar with the Coon-Sanders Nighthawks and also lead recording sessions under the name Bill Haid's Cubs for Paramount.
