BRUNSWICK PRESENTS BLACKBIRDS is the cover title on this 1928 Illustrated ALBUM SET #01517, with six 78rpm 10" phonograph records, and jazz or blues music, by a collection of Black Performers and Musicians, from that era. ~ Please see our photo of the PROGRAMME, from inside the album back, that show each record, and its contents. ~ There are FACSIMILE Signatures of each performer, printed inside of the album front cover. ~ The heavy cardboard album has six attached drop-in sleeves to hold the multiple records. ~ The Warner -Brunswick (England) records have black labels, with gold printing, and are numbered 01517 to 01522. ~ All of the records are visually-graded Very Good+ with barely noticeable noise in the quiet passages. ~ The paper labels are bright and clean, with small owner's stickers on one side, plus numbers written in white ink. ~ The front and back album covers have some wear, and are LOOSE from the record bundle (could be re-bound, if you desire). ~ In case my photos are not clear, the black performers on these records are the DUKE ELLINGTON ORCHESTRA, the DON REDMAN ORCHESTRA, ETHEL WATERS, CAB CALLOWAY, ADELAIDE HALL, BILL "BOJANGLES" ROBINSON, the MILLS BROTHERS, and the CECIL MACK CHOIR. ~ Please click my link, at the top, to hear 3 samples from the six records.
