Description
Up for auction is a circa 1928-29 Brunswick 78 RPM record, “A Night At Coffee Dan’s” Parts I and II, by Frank M. Shaw with Les Poe (Part I) and Leonard Stevens (Part II) on piano. This 10-inch record is Brunswick number 4100. The label lists the record as a “comic novelty.”
The record comes with its original “Brunswick Disc Record” sleeve.
I played the record on my turntable by playing it at 33 RPM and speeding up the record with my finger. From this cursory playing, the record appears to be in very good condition with less hiss than you would normally expect from a record of this era.
The record was owned by my grandparents in San Francisco. Now it is time to sell this vintage item to a deserving buyer so I can clean out my closets…one item at a time = : > )
