Description
Early 78 RPM Record "Buttermilk Blues" and "Smokey Blues" by Ellis Williams, #14482-D by Columbia recorded Oct. 1929. This record is in very nice condition. Important: Please note that I am not a collector or expert - please be sure to carefully view all photos using zoom feature for details & condition. According to my brief on-line research, Ellis Williams was recorded during the Columbia - Okeh "Johnson City (Tenessee) session" (also called "field trip") on Oct 24, 1929 - and he was the only race artist to do so at this particular Columbia session. "Buttermilk Blues" is described as a harmonica lead with spoons percussion and guitar - "Smokey Blues" is harmonica with guitar.
