Description

Up for auction is a great Jazz 78 by Harry Reser's Syncopators on Columbia D label # 1973-D.The songs are titled Piccolo Pete on one side and has Collegiate Sam on the other side.This 78 was recorded on September 14th 1929 so it came out right around then.Beautiful 78.The Piccolo Pete side has about 12 extremely light to light scratches.Also has some extremely light scuffing.Has a couple tiny groove pit marks.Has a very tiny shellac flake nick on edge of record.This is tiny.There is also 4 very tiny extremely light lam hairlines near label.These are extremely minor as they are so light they can barely be seen.They do not touch the grooves at all and they do not go to the label.They are only on the very top surface of the shellac and are extremely light and only on this side.The Collegiate Sam side is Beautiful as well with extremely light to light to light scratches.Has a few tiny groove pit marks including 2 tiny white colored ones.Also has a very tiny flake nick on edge of record see picture.Has a small amount of extremely light scuffing.The 78 also has quite abit of groove wear on both sids but record still has a ton of shine and looks Beautiful.I Played both sides and both songs play terrific.The Piccolo Pete side plays Beautifully with a light background hiss when treble is adjusted in the middle.Plays with an extremely light background hiss when treble is low.Terific Song.The Collegiate Sam side plays absolutely Beautiful with a very light to light background hiss when treble is adjusted in the middle.Plays with an extremely light background hiss when treble is low.Also a great song.Really is a Beautiful record.Comes with a very nice original Columbia label sleeve.The sleeve's in Beautiful condition although it has 2 very small tears on the back part of sleeve near hole also see picture.If the buyer is not 100% satiafied I have a return for refund policy on all records I sell.I'll be listing several more mid 1920s to the early 1930s 78s over the next several weeks.Please check other auctions if interested.I also combine multiple auctions to save on shipping.Please E Mail for shipping prices.
