Description
I have for sale an antique and unique set of seven 78" LPs featuring The Planets Suite by Gustav Holst. It is conducted by Gustav himself in front of The London Symphony Orchestra. The records are in prestine condition and held within a set book with sleeves. The main cover is somewhat worn but as this comes from 1930 it is in remarkable condition. The seven LPs feature the Planets Mercury, Mars, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune.
The record label is Columbia, and a unique time where Gustav conducted the orchestra himself therefore making the music he actually wanted for his suites of music. The collection is heavy and of course easily broken so unless you want to organise and risk damage I suggest pick up only.
