This is for a lot of 78rpm ten (10) 1940's to 1950's Adult records, comedy from that long gone era, when the guys in WWII were looking for some laughs, or small smokey night clubs, or at home in private, where words were spoken that people just didn't use normally. Words like "Damn" or "Son of a Bi**h" or "S**t" or "P***Y" or dirty jokes. Here are the records in this lot and what we heard when we listened to some:
NOTE - When I say "dirty" I mean for those days. For our times where the word F**K is not even that bad to some, this was immensely dirty for 1940's and 1950's.
Record #1 - This record has "Side Show" on one side and "Old Doo" on the other. "Side Show" is a funny story about a person going into a circus type show, dirty and funny. Other side is "Old Doo" and a funny story about a guy that has problems with "passing gas". I subject that was Taboo then! Comes in a sleeve it was found in.
Record #2 - This record has "Signifying Monk part 1" on one side and "Signifying Monk Part II" on the other. A Full radio type story about a dirty Monk. Has sleeve it was found in.
Record #3 & 4 - This record has "110 "Fruit Cake"" on one side and "Gone with the Wind" on the other. The Fruit Cake is a story about a gay person, dirty for those days. The "Gone with the Wind" is a story that's kind of an "R" rated story, but not what you think. (There are 2 of these, both same, both marked 110). Sleeve on one says "Pressing by Research Kraft Company." Both have sleeves they were found in.
Record #5 - This record has "Creep Part 3" on one side and "Creep part 4" on the other. End of a 4 part story, we don't have part one or two.
Record #6 - This record has "Vitamin Pills" on one side marked P-123, and "Give it to Mary with Love" on the other. Both are exactly what you think. Dirty and funny for the time. In original sleeve.
Record #7 - This record has "The Bull Fight part I" on one side and "The Bull Fight Part II" on the other, a full dirty story about a Bull Fight in Mexico. In original sleeve.
Record #8 - This record has "The Pioneers" on one side and "Plumbers Tool" on the other, and again, exactly what you think, dirty little stories on both sides. In original sleeve.
Record #9 - This record has "She Tickled the Gentleman's Fancy" by Ace Newell on one side and "Is it True About Chinese Women" by Ace Newell on the other; on Party Record Company, Inc.; in original MGM sleeve.
Record #1 - This record has "Leave Cherries Alone" on one side and "Just Plain Stuff" on the other. Pretty funny stuff in original sleeve.
CONDITION - All records in this lot are with sleeves, and all are in G to VG+ shape, some are in EX to EX+ condition, all sound like typical 78rpm records with that staticy sound but easily understandable. Please see pictures.
