1.1940's Decca Records HUGE Promo cardboard poster ELLA, INK SPOTS etc.

WOW! This is the only copy of this I have ever seen! A cardboard Decca Records promo poster from the 1940's!

This puppy is HUGE! Previous owner had it framed in a 40 1/2" wide by 51" tall frame. I am certainly willing to sell it to you still in the frame (although shipping costs on that will be determined after the auction is done...but it will be spendy!) or I can take it out of the frame and send it to you much cheaper!! Out of the frame, the size is approximately 4 foot by 3 foot!

Pictured on the poster are: Bing Crosby, Deanna Durbin, The Andrews Sisters, Guy Lombardo, Connie Boswell, Jimmy Dorsey, Bob Crosby, THE INK SPOTS, Glen Gray, Bobby Byrne, ELLA FITZGERALD, Woody Herman, Russ Morgan, Francis Langford and Tony Martin.

There is great artwork for the Decca records children's series as well.

Poster is printed on THICK (probably 1/4" ) cardboard and appears to have been originally printed in two sections which join at the center.

There is water staining on the lower 1/2 of the poster and a couple of holes that do not go into any of the photos.

Poster came from an old building in San Diego, California which used to house a Radio and TV Repair shop that also sold records back in the 40's.

These types of posters were sent out by the record companies to advertise their exclusive artists and promote the sale of their brand of records.

To my knowledge, this is the ONLY KNOWN copy of this poster in existence today and would look just great hanging on your wall in your Record Room!

The photos of The INK SPOTS and ELLA Fitzgerald prove that even in those days of segregation, record companies would mix the Black and White artists together on their advertising material!
