Available is a full, RARE 3-album Columbia Masterworks Set MM-599 of RACHMANINOFF's The Isle of the Dead op.29, conducted by Dimitri Mitropoulous with the Minneapolis Symphony Orchestra. This intact set with cloth cover binding was recorded by Columbia Masterworks on March 2, 1945, and represents the EARLIEST production of this series.

I believe this set of 78rpm albums is comprised of virgin vinyl, at a whopping 330 grams per album! I've played the set completely through, and it is in Excellent audio condition--NO skips or sticks or pops. Flawless play-through!

This is an amazingly preserved piece of recording history with Columbia Masterworks early recording series. The vinyl visually looks fabulous, and the 330 gram construction is amazingly sturdy. Please see photos--NOTE the upper spine tear in the cloth outer binding. Interior heavy paper album holders are all intact and in Very Good condition.
