Description
Here's a very rare pair of 1947 "FAVORITE STORY" 16" RED VINYL RADIO SHOW TRANSCRIPTION DISCS IN ORIGINAL PAPER SLEEVES. Each record holds half of a 30-minute timeslot program, hosted by film star RONALD COLMAN. This was a series of dramatic programs syndicated by ZIV. The two programs are "JOAN OF ARC", which aired on December 6, 1947, and "FRANKENSTEIN", which aired on December 13, 1947.
See photos for a closer look. The discs have apparently been kept in their original ZIV paper sleeves for decades; the records appear to be in nice condition with no visible damage. I have not listened to these specific discs so I can't describe the exact contents. However, there are pencil notations on the sleeves that describe FRANKENSTEIN as "passable / OK" and JOAN OF ARC as "jumps at start / not so hot". They're certainly attractive for display; they are sold "AS IS" so understand that if you purchase.
