Description
Offering for sale: One lot consisting of three LP records by three different legends of Rock and Roll from the early 1960s. There is no copyright date on any of the albums but none of the label addresses include a zip code either which likely dates them to at least pre-1965. The three albums have been used and could use some cleaning off but they do not appear to have been abused. The albums have moderate surface wear but all seams are intact and the corners are mildly worn. Specifically the three albums in this lot are:
- THE BUDDY HOLLY STORY -- from Coral Records -- includes "Peggy Sue" and "Every Day"on one side and "That'll Be The Day" and "Oh Boy" on the flip side (among others). With original inner sleeve. Accompanied by "the Crickets".
- ROCK'n ROLL STAGE SHOW -- BILL HALEY and his comets -- from Decca Records -- includes "Hey Then, There Now" and "Tonight's The Night". Very likely this is from the late 1950s. Back cover gives detailed history of Bill and the Comets -- last reference is to Bill's upcoming tour of Western U.S. and Europe scheduled for 1957.
- GOING TO THE VENTURES DANCE PARTY -- from Dolton Records -- includes "Loco-Motion", "Venus", "Limbo Rock" and "Gandy Dancer". Back of album gives Hollywood address form Ventures fan club. Cover touts popular dances of the day.
