Description
For auction is a 1953 release from Blue Note---BLP 5030. The record is from their Modern Jazz Series and it features Lou Donaldson on alto sax and Clifford Brown on trumpet. The record is titled--New Faces New Sounds. Also in the quintet is Elmo Hope on piano, Percy Heath on bass and "Philly" Joe Jones on drums. This is from an estate and I don't have a turntable and system to play the record. From a visual exam I would grade the vinyl as VG to VG+. I can feel two scratches with my fingernail. There is some dirt and light hairlines and some scuffing. The dead wax is marked with an ear mark and an engraved 9M. It is also marked BN-LP-5030-A and BN-LP-5030-B. The label shows the Lexington Ave address and there is no INC or R mark on the label.
The sleeve is badly water damaged along the bottom front and back and I would grade it at F. There are no split seams but some significant loss of the paper surface from the water damage.
