Description
Up for bids is the Elvis Presley's 1956 debut album LPM-1254 in fantastic condition. The cover says "RCA Victor LPM-1254 A "New Orthophonic" High Fidelity Recording. The cover looks great but does have a 2-1/2" piece of tape on the top right hand corner right above the "RCA Victor LPM-1252" green box. It looks like there was a split there. Other than that, the cover shows very minimal wear. The cover is clean with crisp color and sharp corners. All spine labeling is crisp and clear. The record has the original rice wax paper sleeve which has a 3" slit at the corner. The record itself is in remarkable condition and shows no scratches or wear.
The first release of this record credited the song writers of the song "Just Because" to P.D. (Public Domain). The song writing credits were quickly changed on future pressings. With that said, side 1 of this record has "Just Because" (P. D.). The dead wax is marked G2 PP1282 3S and B3(? is hard to tell). Side Two dead wax is marked G2 PP1283 1S and C2. Both sides are marked "Long 33 1/3 Play." The record is in amazing condition and shows no wear or scratches. The label on side 1 is in excellent condition but the label on side 2 has a white spot where the black coloring has come off from wear.
