One of the rarest of all original cast recordings to find is this 10” LP of the London production of the musical show Plain and Fancy. The show opened at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane on 25 January 1956. The cast album was issued by Oriole, number MG 10009. Jack Drummond, Joan Hovis, Malcolm Keen, Grace O'Connor and Virginia Somers of the original cast contributed to the recording, which features nine songs from the show which had premiered on Broadway the previous year, starring Barbara Cook. The cover is fairly clean with just a few light marks and with no major damage. The original inner sleeve is still present and the disc appears to be in superb condition with very little evidence of ever having been played. A great chance to add a very rare show recording to your collection.
