Gene Vincent With The Blue Caps - Capitol Extended Play Album - EAP 1059 - Part 1 - Condition NEAR MINT - "Five Feet Of Lovin," "The Wayward Wind" B/W "Somebody Help Me," "Keep It A Secret"

I purchased all three of the EP's from this album shortly after their release in 1958. It was my personal opinion that Gene Vincent had one of the truly great voices of the early Rock & Roll singers. Sometime during the summer of 1956 or 1957 Gene Vincent & The Blue Caps hit Sioux Falls, South Dakota and "The Arkota Ballroom." I was playing with a band at "The Club Cabana" just up the street. After their show they all came down to "The Club Cabana" and got up and did a brief performance. What a night! Several years later in the mid sixties I contacted Gene after he returned to the United States from England and South Africa and booked him with my band "The Fender Benders." We had some good times playing dates in Minnesota, South Dakota and the upper midwest. I have a picture he gave me and wrote a nice note on it in red ink and signed it. I will make a copy of that picture and send it along to the winning bidder along with a photo of our group backing Gene doing his show. I have many of Gene's records and the album versions of most so I am selling this and the Part 2 & 3 in a separate auction.
