Description
Up for auction is a very rare early autographed album by Johnny Cash. This album was signed by Johnny Cash in 1961 at the concert held at The Bostonia Ballroom in El Cajon(just outside of San Diego). The album is a Sun LP and is record number SLP 1235. Titled "Johnny Cash Sings The Songs That Made Him Famous" and was released late 1959. The record plays well and has light wear from age. No skipping or cracks in the record. Both labels are in perfect shape. The sleeve has light wear around the edges and minor seam splitting on the upper and lower edge. It is signed on the back and is a very nice autograph. This album was found at the recent 85 year estate of the sound man of The Bostonia Ballroom. I was told by his elder son, that his father was friends with many country acts what came through San Diego. He would go out and party with Johnnny Cash, Willie Nelson to name a few.
