Description
Here are two copies of Stereo Demonstration Record, the 1959 Bel Canto 12" LP stereophonic demonstration record pressed on tri-color vinyl (SR 2000).
Regarding version, they vary from one another. About one copy, Discogs says, "this particular pressing used the same master that was used to press side 1 of SR/1000, and side 2 was pressed from a different master than the other two versions of SR/2000." This copy is in Very Good Plus condition; the vinyl with light surface marks that do not affect play, it tracks through and plays fine; the original paper liner and the outer picture sleeve with moderate edge wear and no marks. Neither are there marks on the label.
The other copy has only "SR-2000-1X" and "SR-2000-2X" etched in the runouts, and not the additional stamped patent information, which the other one has. Also, the "$2.98" on the front cover is in a different font. This copy has many condition issues; the vinyl and outer sleeve are in Good condition; the vinyl with considerable surface marks such that it is prone to skipping; the outer sleeve, which is moderately stained, marked with tape along the bottom, and has a pen mark on the cover, has split around all sides; the front and back covers are held together by the inner cardboard connector.
Full disclosure: although I am currently behaving like one, I am not a record store. Professional record grading skills are not on offer here. Please look closely at the images which are always taken of the actual items and feel free to ask any questions.
