Description
1960 Lonnie Johnson on original US Prestige/Bluesville 1024: Losing Game. 1st Press with deep grooved blue & silver labels with the 203 S. Washington Ave Bergenfield NJ address, in a Kabuchi frame sleeve (just the way the paper is folded over the card on older lps), with the address matching the labels. A neat surname to rear, no ringwear or splits. Vinyl has nice clean playing surfaces, no deep marks, light visual surface marks not affecting play, I will go for a mint minus overall grade on this. It played without interference, and is a very fine folk blues lp, well reviewed with classic status, no offerings on ebay of one this clean in years that I know of, and a rough one went to three figures. Johnson's technique was still intact at this time, a legendary guitarist who even Robert Johnson learnt technique from. Second side is all originals, first side covers, including a killer pairing of Evil Woman and Moaning Blues.
Many original issue Audiophile classical & Jazz Lps with this this week in our list & store.
