Description
This is our first sale from a top of the market collection, comprising of just early stereo rarities on Decca HMV, UK Columbia & RCA. First labels issues in Near Mint condition to 99% of them, all described in detail with plenty of pictures. Includes many items rarely seen on ebay.
1960 First year pressing of Uk Decca SXL 2176 Rachmaninov Rhapsody ona Theme of Paganini & Dohnanyi Variations on a Nursery Theme. Boult & the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Peter Katchen piano. Lowest 1D1D stampers to this clean beauty, delightful performances to both works, I have this myself.
Original straight cut flipback sleeve with repeated curved ffss logo triangle and blue detailing. Labels are ED1 with original recording by.. at ten o clock, with the wide silver band and ffss circle at 12 O' clock. The pristine original company ffss inner is present. This is near mint with no marks to the playing surfaces, has clean labels and the sleeve is Mint Minus, some rear spotting. Flips are unmarked, no pen or excess dirt, no splits or bends.
