Description

Fascinating home recording of John F Kennedy's 1961 Inaugural Address. Recorded on a Recordio home recording system. This will play on a 78 RPM player, but not an LP player (33 1/3 or 45). Likely recorded by holding microphone up to a radio. No personal commentary, only the actual speech. It doesn't sound quite right when I play it on my 78 player, I don't know if the recording speed was off or it just wasn't a very good recording. Two 8" diameter records, two sided with a total of four sides recorded. In an audiodisc sleeve.

Condition: The tone sounds wrong when I play it on my 78 player. Either it needs to be played at a slightly different speed (my player isn't variable) or the original records was not great. A section on disk 3 is blanked out (visible in picture).
