1961 UK Decca pressed original (I.e. first in Europe pressing) Mono issue Contemporary Shelly Manne and His Men Live! At The Manne Hole 2Lp. Glorious music making from the quintet with Candoli and Kamuca in great form, 8 stretched out numbers with bristling energy through out. Hearing this takes you back 63 years, with the aid of a valve tube signal path to this pressing, to a small club in California with these guys at the height of their powers. Generally a clean set of lps, Near mint surfaces to records, neat initials to both A labels the nearest to a fault here, plays near mint with a mono cart in my system in a Vg++ sleeve, closed 1/4 inch tear to back of the gatefold at the opening, can be seen in pics. Better condition than the 80s Japanese reissues being offered. No other first year ones in Europe at time of listing, if you find a US one expect to get hammered on the postage!.
