Description
This is an original 1963 USA 1ST PRESSING by album Chris Montez titled “Let’s Dance and Have
Some Kinda Fun” on Monogram Records MLP-100. The album has shrink wrap fully attached to it.
The record itself is very heavy and super rigid. Chris’s producer Jim Lee created the Monogram label
for Chris as he had hopes of him becoming the next Richie Valens.
The cover is a beautiful white on both the front and back. The seams and spine are gorgeous also.
NO flaking or surface wear exists. The cover grades at NEAR-MINT 8/9!
The thick and heavy record has beautiful labels and shiny, glistening vinyl with NO needle marks,
NO surface scratches or paper scuffs. The record grades at NEAR-MINT 9!
Chances of finding another one of these albums in this shape is extremely remote! The album just did not sell well at all even though he had a huge hit single off of it "Let's Dance" and he got a lot of air play for the songs "Rock n' Blues" and "Some Kinda Fun" which are also on this LP. The album rocks and Chris was at this point in his career indeed a true Rock and Roller as even The Beatles opened for him when he toured in England. Only serious collecters need apply! :) Have a great Labor Day!
