the Beatles  "Meet The Beatles!" 
Released in 1964 by Capitol Records # T 2047 

this copy is a rarity because of the orange and white promo sticker on its front cover that says: 

"The BEATLES are coming!"

  it's widely considered to be of the earliest Beatles memorabilia items.  

this copy is in mono and was pressed in 1964, the year this classic album was released.

early 3rd label variation with no George Martin production credit, but labels have ASCAP and BMI performance rights credits.  
promotional copies are said to include a red / orange and white sticker the reads “The BEATLES are coming!” & have a red ink stamp on the back cover (although this copy has just the sticker on front and no red promo stamp on back). 

while this copy has a Scranton stamper (IAM inside a triangle) in its side A runout / dead wax, label pressing rings look different to us.  could have been a contract pressing that used mixed stampers from different plants?  couldn't find a match so this could be an obscure variation.

early "3rd label" 1964 pressing variation with: 
- The Beatles picture on the front sleeve tinted blue.  - has "Beatles" in brown on front cover.  - has no producer credits on back cover. 
- has the number "3" at bottom right back cover near RIAA logo. 
- side A credits the first two tracks to BMI with the remaining cuts to ASCAP. 
- side B credits all songs to ASCAP, except for track 5 "I Wanna Be Your Man" (BMI). 
- black rainbow label without "subsidiary..." text. 
T 2047 appears on front and back cover T-2047 appears on labels
Has "IAM" stamped inside of a triangle in side A runout usually denoting a Capitol Records Pressing Plant, Scranton pressing, but the labels on this copy look different than normal, so it's possible this was a contract pressing using Scranton stampers.

please SEE PHOTOS and additional details in description - rare copy with PROMO "The Beatles Are Coming!" sticker on front cover - it's an original MONO scranton US pressing of this 1964 album with 3rd label variation and NO George Martin producer credit on back cover - mostly selling this because of the RARE STICKER on cover, which is in very good shape but has one small scuff over orange head at lower right - cover itself displays fairly well but has writing (ink top front / pencil on back); partial seam splitting; corner, edge and ring wear - record has shiny clean vinyl with some typical visual wear for its age but nothing too severe looking but has been downgraded because of more than average background noise (crackle, pops, tics, static) although it's been FULLY PLAY TESTED and it plays through fine with no skips or repeats - labels are in fairly nice shape and have no stickers or writing on them but they do have spindle wear
