Description

This is the rare original Czech issue of the “1964 Prague Jazz Festival” on Supraphon DV 10166. The record appears to be unplayed, with a high luster. The thin cover is clean throughout, with sharp corners and undamaged seams. The music consists of the three only known tracks by Donald “Baby” Douglas, a fine jazz/blues singer who does “Ain’Misbehavin’” , four tracks by that same small group (Benny Bailey, Leo Wright, Kenny Drew, and others), who play a blues march, “Sonnymoon for Two”, “I Can’t Get Started” and a superb Drew piano trio playing “Yesterdays”, and an instrumental by a Czech big band. Douglas is a very fine vocalist who, unfortunately, disappeared from the music scene. In excellent fidelity. WE NOW ACCEPT PAYPAL.
