PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! VERY RARE in ANY condition... this is the HIGHLY collectible 1964 Capitol 6000 series FIRST PRINTING of the THIRD Dave Clark 5 album, "ON STAGE" released on September 14, 1964 with a completely different custom cover and title to the USA issue; great superior cover art you get nowhere else! The rainbow Capitol 6000 series Lp's are sought by serious collectors... As noted, the LP was released on Epic Records in America under a different title!

One of the Dave Clark Five's finest hours, "ON STAGE" also titled "American Tour" in the USA (so named in commemoration of their first U.S. tour -- it's not a live album) is excellent from start to finish. The album encompasses slightly retrograde early rock & roll, like the "Green Onions"-styled "Move On," in addition to the sophisticated pop/rock and driving garage rock of their vocal cuts. "Because" was one of the band's biggest American hits and, like everything on the album, was composed by its members. The mixture of jazzy chords, straight-ahead rock, and British Invasion crafted pop-rock ala the Beatles (which was pretty exciting in 1964) is an interesting one, making the group less enigmatic than the Zombies and more obviously rooted in earlier rock traditions than even the Beatles. Despite the adventurous construction of their vocal songs, they're willing to use standard chord progressions for their backing instruments. In that sense, the Dave Clark Five bridged the gap between the music of American inspired rock & roll and the Beatles in a way that few other British Invasion acts did.
