1964 STEREO Meet the Beatles RARE (Capitol - RCA) Jacket w Orig Shrink Scranton
This Stereo LP Version of MEET THE BEATLES has all the hallmarks of a 3A Scranton Pressing. Such as BMI on (A1, A2 and B5) the IAM Triangle in the matrix. What makes this one a little interesting is the Jacket with the Original Shrink and there is No Pressing Plant number on the back next to the RIAA Seal. The speculation is that Capitol or RCA printed these in house.
The Vinyl is (VG) the Jacket is (VG+) with the original shrink and the inner sleeve is (EX) with a small split starting at the bottom.The shrink isn't the typical thin cellophane as you normally see. This shrink is thicker and feels more like a plastic bag. Distrubuted by United States Record Corp. and priced at $4.98. The shrink has some splits and tears but has proteced the surface of the jacket pretty well. There are some corner dings and wear around the opening with a small 1/2" separation starting at the opening on the bottom edge..
