NOTES: Personnel: Hutcherson (vibes, marimba), Freddie Hubbard (t), Sam Rivers (ts, sop sax, bass cl, flute), Andrew Hill (p), Richard Davis (b), and Joe Chambers (d) on this excellent hard-bop release. Mirror-shiny record surfaces show only a couple very superficial paperscuffs on either side. "VAN GELDER" stamped in the dead wax area on both sides -- Rudy Van Gelder personally mixed this session for mono. See label scans to verifiy which pressing this is: NEW YORK USA. Heavy vinyl and clean labels. The jacket is also excellent though there is negligible age-related shelfwear along the seams and corners -- it's a dark-colored cover and a little white from underneath peeks through here and there. There are no splits, writing, or ringwear. Also note original inner sleeve is in excellent condition with no splits, tears or creases.

This 39 year-old gem will be prepared for safe shipment in the following manner: it will come with a new poly sleeve for long-lasting archival protection, and a paper sleeve for the record. Both the jacket and record in its inner sleeve will be placed side by side into the poly sleeve to prevent seam splits during shipment. The album will then be sandwiched between two sheets of heavy duty cardboard and secured within a sturdy record mailer.
