Catalogue # IMPULSE AS-87 STEREO with ENGINEERING BY RUDY VAN GELDER ORIGINAL ULTRA RARE TEST PRESSING with "VAN GELDER" in the deadwax. Released 1965

VISUAL GRADING:
Vinyl: side one VG++ to NM- Side two: VG+
Cover: White generic test pressing cover
Play/Sound tested: This is a historic piece of vinyl. I have never seen another TEST PRESSING anywhere or one that is also the special Van Gelder recording like this one. As I liostebned I found this to be a strong test press recording, in the sense that the Hawkins solos come at you, but you will hear some pops and clicks in some places and a skip was detected. Surface crackle is present.
So if you are after a clean play, you may prefer to search for another copy of AS-87, but if you want to have an Lp that probably no one else has,the original Test Pressing then this is for you.
SHIPPING: Prompt Careful Professional packing and Next Day shipping. All Lps come boxed carefully in professional corrugated boxes made specifically for Lps, plus the Lps are housed in clear plastic Lp sleeves. The vinyl remains in its inner sleeve but is removed and separated from cover (except for sealed Lps) for shipping to prevent seam splitting. A cardboard filler pad is also provided for extra protection.
