NOTE: eBay has implemented its new FEEDBACK policy to which ANY customer for ANY reason or ANY excuse can give sellers (i.e. "us") negative feedback. Please understand, we have served thousands of "satisfied" customers and processed thousands of orders - far more than our feedback records indicate - It is our intention to give EACH and EVERY buyer our best possible service and we are known to ALWAYS deliver your purchased item. ALL items paid for are processsed 'outbound'  to each and EVERY customer, satisfaction guaranteed.  Keep in mind we have serviced THOUSANDS of satisfied customers and our aim is to continue to do so.

We make every effort to mail all orders out Friday of each week.  Keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two at most.   We also strive to keep our shipping and handling costs as close to actual charges as reasonable.

TO OUR REPEAT CUSTOMERSWe often get requests to hold orders to save on shipping.  We are happy to do thatPlease pay your current invoice within five days of auctions ending and IF YOU REQUEST we will hold your order and reflect a shipping discount for each additional order shipped together in the same parcel.   To receive continual shipping discounts, we will hold your orders as long as you want, but it is necessary to pay each invoice you receive to stay current.   Most importantly, we appreciate your business.

             The PRETTY THINGS

...USA - Fontana Records -SRF 67544

The 'real deal' = 1965, rare, original first pressing of the legendary very first PRETTY THINGS ...the Pretty Things were Gods in the hands of the Rolling Stones  ... equally as great as ANYTHING the early STONES ever did, rare and frantic rave-ups amid melodic infusions...many many bands tried to copy the PRETTY THINGS style & sound, but no one could ever equal them...

The original printed Fontana Records inner sleeve is included!

This, the PRETTY THINGS first album, is raw British R&B played with swagger and attitude. Think early Stones but with more personality. This and the Who's My Generation are two of my favorite debuts because both are played with such abandon. The sense of aggression and good times comes thru in the grooves. Tho' mostly, if not all, covers, the Pretties' take what was standard and clearly make them their own songs. The foundation for the greatness that follows and a should be recognized classic from that time.

In the mid-60s is was fashionable to be the wildest band of the planet. When the Pretties arrived, they were presented as wilder than The Rolling Stones. Phil May's voice has got the power and toughness (he shouts to be a real bad boy) of Mick Jagger, Van Morrison and Eric Burdon.

The Pretties first producer, Jack Beverstock said when he first met them: "I'm not staying down there with this bunch of animals!". The band had been presented to him as: "Five unruly youths with a passion for rhythm, blues and random acts of senseless mayhem".
We can understand he could be powerless in taming the guys!

Now the music is the similar rhythm n'blues made by the Stones, Them, Kinks etc. And it's quite interesting...

CONDITION: The cover is all around solid (no delete marks which is something for this album that went over everyones heads (errr...) in America, thus an instant deletion ...VG++ with only very light shelf wear (usually found much worse) ...no bends no seam splits and no writing ...the back cover group photo and band information is M- claen giving another indication it was not misused.

The vinyl both sides retain the original glossy luster ...visually VG+(+) there is some light scuffs. hairthins, nothing at all to be concerned over, as play graded in excellent zones which was VERY enjoying indeed (great stuff, yeah?!)  the deep groove pressing from 1965
