The Hondell's
"You Meet the Nicest People on a Honda"
American Honda Motor Co. Inc.
Grey Advertiising, Beverly Hills
4 x :60 seconds

A quick history: The song "Little Honda" was written by Brian Wilson and first recorded by the Beach Boys. With legendary producer Gary Usher at the helm it was re-recorded (covered) by a yet to be named band called The Hondells, which basically consisted of Usher, vocalist Chuck Girard and studio musicians including Glen Campbell. The song became a bigger hit than the Beach Boys version. So big, in fact, that Usher produced a follow-up to go with Honda's advertising campaign...You Meet the Nicest People on a Honda. This Honda commercial jingle was given to radio stations and differs from the Mercury single that was later released in that it was shortened to :60 seconds, and after the first chorus the music is potted down so an the announcer can read Honda ad copy over the record. Very rare, one of a kind advertising record for American Honda Motor Co. 4 identical :60 second spots. Shipping charges in U.S.are $4.00 Media Mail, or $8.25 Priority Mail. Overseas airmail is $14.00. Combined shipping discounts will be applied to multiple purchases. Payment within (10) days for U.S. customers, (14) days for overseas...unless prior arrangements are made.
