Description

No records that I sell will be less than VG, and most will be VG+ or better, at least for now. I've had these at least 30 years, so they're either first presses or early reissues.

You are buying or bidding on a 1966 original press stereo LP, Doc Watson - Southbound on Vanguard VSD-79213. I did play test this even though it looks unplayed. I saw one little spot on side 1 track 3 that I wanted to make sure of. It was fine not a sound (other than music), but I liked what I heard so I played both complete sides. Just an unbelievably great copy. Hard to find an original in this condition! This features his son Merle playing with him. This has plain paper sleeve (with plastic label protector) with no seam splits. I'm not a collector so I don't really grade jackets, but I would say this cover is VG to VG+ with some minor ring wear and too much bottom edge and spine wear, but no seam splits. You should be able to grade covers pretty easy with eBays magnifier. (see pics) I give up on trying to get matrix pics. I try to match on Discogs as best as I can. If you want to know the matrix numbers better than my interpretation email me, I'll try to get decent pics.

This has short ultrasonic clean (if it's needed) and distilled water spin clean rinse. I will combine shipping.(see pics, they are the biggest part of description) You get what you see in the pics. Check shipping details. My records ship properly packaged in actual record mailers that I purchase. See my other listings. Please leave positive feedback when received if you are pleased with purchase. I will leave positive feedback in return.

EX+ (Near Mint):

Vinyl: Nearly flawless, with possible minor scuffs or hairlines only visible under strong light.

EX (Excellent):

Vinyl: Bright, with minor surface wear and hairlines, not affecting play.

VG+ (Very Good Plus):

Vinyl: Obvious wear, scuffs and hairlines, plays with some noise but no major sound issues. A little crackle or faint tick.

VG (Very Good):

Vinyl: Dull appearance with many hairlines and scuffs, somehow plays with persistent noise but no skips.
