Glorious MONO original vinyl ...San Jose California turned out The COUNT FIVE from it's hot bed of sixties garage bands scene, the FIVE had the surprising national hit "Psychotic Reaction" and it got them an album deal which featured more HOT garage punk fuzz sounds of the same. Forever etched in stone sought want list staple item, The Count Five's "cool" album remains an "In" sound of the hip scene of the sixties...(rare) mono issues many times contain different song mixes from the stereo version and also the mono copy displays a bold punch to the production...
Formed in 1964 in San Jose, California, USA, Count Five were a classic one-hit wonder whose Yardbirds-inspired psychedelic-punk hit Psychotic Reaction, reached the US Top 5 in 1966. They first drew attention by wearing Dracula-style capes to their gigs. After recording one album, also titled PSYCHOTIC REACTION, they continued to release singles before disbanding in 1969.
CONDITION: the cover is CLEAN VG++ stiff and solid > no seam splits, no bends, no writing...very presentable keeper!
The vinyl still glossy, visual appearance clean VG++, light harmless scuff(s), so plays terrific!
Overall presentable collectible in solid shape -- been well kept for 41 years!
