SCARCE ((MONO)) 1966 Original garage punker classic, spearheaded with the timeless groover "LIES" a dead ringer for killer-status BEATLES sounds off say, their Rubber Soul Lp era. But, that's not all...though the Knickerbockers made a few collectible albums, "LIES" is the one of choice, i.e. their best, with solid melodic laced 'garage' tunes up & down both sides...
Here a collectible first pressing in glorious MONO ...which exhibits different sounding song mixes from the stereo issue and...a bold punch to the production which suits the sounds of the sixties just fine....
In early 1966, the Knickerbockers hit the Top 20 with "Lies," the best and most accurate early Beatles 'sounds' ever recorded; the lead vocals were a dead ringer for John Lennon and the whole production could have fit in snugly on the second side of "Rubber Soul". Actually a garage rock band from New Jersey, they made a few LP's but none as solid as their peak LP in '66 which formulates an overall swinging style with professional popcraft layers over a happening garage rock sound. The Knickerbockers had it all going on with this 1966 Lp featuring their timeless classic "LIES" a NUGGETS first round selection classic...

CONDITION: The cover is in VERY solid shape, "EX" (excellent) only a little prior use is evident...it has been in obvious good hands the past 43 years and counting! No split seams, no bends, no writing....
The vinyl is glossy over both sides..."EX" (excellent) ...inner sleeve paper scuffs is all play graded clean excellent throughout ... with clean CHALLENGE labels ...
