Original double sided release sheet from PYE RECORDS which was sent to record shops to inform them of forthcoming releases
This one lists 45s due for release on April 1st 1966 and features 45s by

and includes

The reverse side lists Wholesalers supplying records by the PYE group
It measures approx 5.5 X 9 inches (14 X 23 cm)
It is in superb condition as it was stored for 50 years until just a few years ago. The white paper and the lettering is as vibrant as when first printed and looks virtually new however, be sure to study the photos thoroughly before bidding.
Items like this one and any similar ones I may have listed or will be listing are extremely rare as they were never intended to be kept more than a few weeks. Record shops back in the 1950s and 1960s were constantly being sent information by the many different record companies promoting their latest releases. Some may have been displayed or in the case of release sheets, kept on file for a while but most of it was simply regarded as junk mail and thrown away. Nobody back then could have imagined that a few decades later collectors would be seeking out promotional items like demos, flyers and posters. The particular collection I bought had never even been looked at, it was just left on shelves which is why the release sheets do not even have the designated punch holes punched and the posters have no sellotape or drawing pin holes.
