WOW WHAT A FIND !!! This is a RARE ORIGINAL UNITED ARTISTS MUSIC DEMO ACETATE , UK UNITED ARTISTS MUSIC / EMIDISC SINGLE SIDED ACETATE PRESSING - NORTHERN SOUL ACETATE by BILLY BUTLER from 1966, ORIGINAL UK DEMO ACETATE PRESSING !!!
This is a RARE AND GREAT - NORTHERN SOUL - DEMO ACETATE single that I SUSPECT IS THE ONLY ONE IN EXISTENCE !!! This is the ORIGINAL DEMO ACETATE for BILLY BUTLER’s 1966 CLASSIC NORTHERN SOUL single “THE RIGHT TRACK” which eventually was release in the UK on SOUL CITY RECORDS in 1969, The single was released in the US in 1966 which is probably when UNITED ARTISTS MUSIC got the publishing rights to the UK, but unfortunately did not see a release in the UK until 1969 !!! The fact that this is an ORIGINAL 1966 UK ACETATE is also evident in my other UNITED ARTISTS MUSIC ACETATE this week by LOU LAWTON from 1966 which came together !!! Even the track name is slightly different on this ACETATE and is called “RIGHT TRACK” different to the released title “THE RIGHT TRACK !!! You can see the UNITED ARTISTS MUSIC stamp on the side A label and the UNITED ARTISTS MUSIC LIBRARY NUMBER - 559 written on the label !!! This ACETATE comes directly from the UNITED MUSIC PUBLISHING library which I have bought !!! This sounds similar to the released version but sounds like a slightly different EQ, although this could simply be because this is an ACETATE PRESSING !!! This is a TRUE NORTHERN SOUL CLASSIC and was comped on the: BEST OF THE NORTHERN SOUL STORY and MOVE ON UP and NORTHERN SOUL: THE SOUNDTRACK and THE NORTHERN SOUL STORY VOL. 1: THE TWISTED WHEEL amongst many other compilations !!!



DON’T LET THIS PIECE OF UK NORTHERN SOUL HISTORY GET AWAY as it is probably the ONLY TIME you will be able to buy this UNRELEASED ACETATE !!! I WILL HAVE SOME OTHER UNITED ARTISTS MUSIC ACETATES IN FUTURE WEEKS ALL FROM THE IMMEDIATE MUSIC RECORD LIBRARY !!!

The ACETATE was pressed by UNITED ARTISTS MUSIC PUBLISHING on an EMIDISC ACETATE.
The condition of the ACETATE is in EX+ / EX++ condition (Better then most ACETATES of this age, plays great with only mild crackle as ACETATES tend to have) !!!
