Description
Up for auction is a vintage original 1967 Beatles LP Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band PMC 7027. This is the first pressing on the Parlophone label with matrix XEX-637 on side 1 and XEX-638 on side 2. It has the psychedelic red inner sleeve, the original "cut out" insert and I believe it is the "wide" spine. Please read entire description and look at pictures closely for details and condition.
COVER- VG-. Gatefold cover has normal wear for it's age. Has minor edge wear and corner dings. The spine has wear to the point that the title cannot be read. Random creases, discoloration and slight staining in spots.
RECORD- VG. Vinyl is glossy with only a few minor surface marks and light scratches. Plays beautifully with clear sound, minor hiss and pops and no skips. It could use a cleaning that should clear up some of those hiss and popping sounds. Side 1 has a spot of sticker residue in the trail off that does not affect play.
LABELS- VG. Minor wear. Side 1 has a small spot of paper loss from a sticker that was removed.
INSERT- GOOD. Great to have included but the mustache portion has been cut out and is missing.
Not a mint LP but a great first pressing from 1967 so please only bid if you accept the condition. I have given honest grading, provided good pictures and am starting it at a reasonable price.
Shipping is $4.00 within the United States. U.S. SALES ONLY unless you qualify for the Global Shipping Program. It will be packed and shipped securely with a tracking number.
Thanks for looking and good luck!
