Description
This is a rare 1967 concert poster for the Cross Town Bus Boston venue. The poster measures 35 1/2" x 23" and is in very good condition for a 47 year old advertisement. The photos have a pinkish hue to them that is not in the poster. As the photos show, there is tape on the edge and corners. The bottom of the poster lists Stephen Schacht under Electronics, Jim Mazzeo under Light Enviroment and Slip Cover Environment by Les Levine. The poster is for the New York Rock & Roll Ensemble and the Mandrake Memorial Band July 14-15 and July 17 thru 27. Cross Town Bus was a Boston psychedelic rock venue located at 337 Washington St. Allston/Brighton for a few months in 1967 and is noted for an appearance by The Doors in August. Due to the short history of the club, original posters from the Cross Town Bus are very rare and always desirable. This poster will be shipped rolled up in a tube.
