Description

The Beatles Original Richard Avedon 1967 'John Lennon' Poster.

This is a completely original 1967 limited first edition Richard Avedon 'John Lennon' poster. Taken in mid 1967 it was ONLY ever available (in limited first edition) to readers of the UK newspaper the 'Daily Express' by limited edition mail order only.

The iconic psychedelic photograph was taken by leading American fine art photographer Richard Avedon. The next year he photographed the much more restrained portraits that were included with The White Album in 1968.

The text along the bottom reads:

JOHN LENNON photographed by Richard Avedon for the Daily Express

Copyright © by NEMS Enterprises Ltd. All rights reserved. Published and distributed exclusively under license from Cowles Education Corporation in co-operation with Richard Avedon Posters, Inc. and from Maximus Enterprises.

Limited First Edition. Printed in England by Waterlow & Sons Ltd.

The size is approximately: 27" x 19".

The poster is in generally VERY GOOD- condition. It has some damage to the four corners and edges. It appears to have previously been attached to a wall with tape which has caused the damage. When the poster is put in the correct size frame ALL damage is hidden. The vibrant colours are near perfect and display wonderfully.

Any questions feel free to e-mail me.
