...US- Elektra - EKL - 4014

An interesting listing here! We have, going to the top bidder, TWO MONAURAL ORIGINAL 1967 first vinyl pressings of the UNIVERSALLY WANTED MONO DOORS Strange Days album!

here's the deal...

Copy #1:

The cover has very minor wear just starting at top, solid VG+, there is clear tape along the spine and the top seam even though the seams are NOT torn (no seam tears!) ... the clear tape can be carefully removed usuing a warm iron & lighter fluid which will even moreso improve the condition of the cover. The vinyl looks pretty decent in normal light. However if taken out in direct sunlight one can detect numerous very faint thin (thin!) lines, light scuffs, nothing deep, light is the key word here -- and keep in mind any vintage album of normal use is going to look more extreme undere direct sunlight ...so looks VG(+), and plays WAY better, LIGHT crackle in some quiet parts and in between tracks, otherwise plays strong/enjoyable, ++ and better!

**Comes with the elusive group photo innser sleeve (see coolage photo below)

Copy #2:

The cover is an original stereo copy with a MONO original record inside ...

The (stereo orig) cover with no seam splits (and no tape), name on side of cover near spine. Has moderate wear (partial ring wear), so not thrashed VG ... the vinyl MONO original vinyl in pretty much the same shape as copy #1, small marks, nothing deep, plays with light crackle at worse!

***It is well known that the MONAURAL issue provides an entirely different sound mix to the DOORS "Strange Days" album, thus the high demand! As well the MONO mix provides a very deep & bold punch to the bass lines and overall production, quite a different (& better!) sound to the ears!

The DOORS "Strange Days" is one of the great classic albums of the sixties of the best albums the Doors ever produced :

• Strange Days
• You're Lost Little Girl
• Love Me Two Times
• Unhappy Girl
• Horse Latitudes
• Moonlight Drive
• People Are Strange
• My Eyes Have Seen You
• I Can't see Youre Face In My Mind
• When The Music's Over
