We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over 18,000 positive feedback. We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Best that can be determined is this is the 1967 pre- Tacoma Records release ...very scarce in this pressing and is complete; with 30-page booklet " John Fahey's The Transfiguration of Blind Joe Death"

The Transfiguration of Blind Joe Death is a '60s album by American finger-style guitarist and composer John Fahey. It was Fahey's first album to be released by a label other than his own Takoma Records. As with all of Fahey's independently released early albums, it had little critical recognition upon release. The album has grown in stature since its reissue on in 1997 and is now highly regarded critically.
Fahey excels at conjuring up a painstakingly developed sense of time and place in his playing, and if his previous LP mapped out the restive confines of the dark night of the soul, this record no less vividly represents a (mildly acid-fried) return to the front porch and the prairie. "On the Sunny Side of the Ocean" is the "undeniable highlight of the album", elsewhere the songs are unpredictable, complex, and evocative as any of Fahey’s aggressively daring work. The album "has a lot of rough edges in terms of the recording but a tremendous amount of power when it comes to the music. Fahey was at the top of his game...
The FAN-MAN further states; BLIND JOE DEATH balances whimsy and dignity, melody and dissonance, in a wholly original and very bent manner...Quiet, beautiful and jaw-droppingly intricate. Overall tremendously atmospheric acoustic earthy folk-blues - unaccompanied and enthralling. I stood on a tall bridge over a fast river when I first heard this - and saw the fading light dancing on the busy water and it all got astoundingly serious. I get the feeling I'll be listening to this album for the rest of my life

The vinyl: rated; 'EX' (excellent) to M- ... in all actuality, a keeper copy with no up-grade needed... plays with minty clean audio and both labels are very clean.
